Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 June 2026
BiBoReward is a gentle, gamified habit and reward app built for children, families and learning centers. We know you're trusting us with your family's everyday life — and with information about your kids. We take that seriously.
This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It covers our marketing site (biboreward.com) and the BiBoReward app (app.biboreward.com, and our iPhone & Android apps as they launch).
Our privacy promise
- No ads, ever. We never show advertising to you or your children.
- We never sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers — not to anyone.
- A closed, kid-safe space. No public profiles, no chat with strangers, no social feed.
- Grown-ups stay in control. Parents and teachers create and manage every child profile.
Information we collect
Account information
When a parent, guardian or teacher creates an account, we collect what's needed to sign in and keep the account secure — such as an email address and a password (stored only in encrypted form). You can browse much of BiBoReward without an account; some features require one.
Child profiles
Profiles for children are created and managed by the responsible adult. A profile typically includes a first name or nickname, an avatar/level, and an optional age range. We ask adults not to enter more about a child than is needed — a nickname is perfectly fine.
Activity within the app
To make the app work, we store the things you set up and earn: challenges and habits, points, streaks, rewards you create, and redemptions you approve.
Technical & usage data
Like most websites and apps, we automatically receive some technical data — device and browser type, approximate region, and basic usage events — to keep the service secure, fix problems, and understand which features help families most.
How we use information
- To provide and sync BiBoReward across your devices.
- To keep accounts secure and prevent abuse.
- To fix bugs, improve performance, and decide what to build next.
- To respond when you contact us for support.
Analytics & error reporting
We use a small number of trusted providers to understand product usage and catch crashes — currently Mixpanel (product analytics) and Sentry (error and crash reporting). They process limited usage and technical data on our behalf, to help us improve the app. This data is never used to advertise to you and is never sold. We aim to keep analytics about children to the minimum needed to keep the app working well.
Children's privacy
BiBoReward is designed for children roughly aged 5–14, but accounts are created and controlled by a parent, guardian or teacher, who provides consent for the child's use. We do not knowingly let children create their own accounts, we do not serve behavioral advertising to children, and we do not build public or shareable child profiles.
If you believe a child has provided us information without the right adult consent, contact us (below) and we will delete it promptly. We design with frameworks such as COPPA and GDPR-K in mind.
How we share information
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers (e.g. hosting, analytics, crash reporting) who process it for us under confidentiality obligations.
- When required by law, or to protect the safety, rights or security of our users and our service.
- As part of a business transfer (e.g. a merger), in which case this policy continues to protect your information.
Data security
We protect your information with encryption in transit, access controls, and a closed app environment. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep your family's data safe and to limit who can access it.
Data retention
We keep information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time, and we'll remove it (except anything we must keep for legal or security reasons).
Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. As the adult on the account, you can also view and remove your children's profiles. To exercise any of these rights, just reach out — we're happy to help.
International users
BiBoReward is available worldwide and your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. Wherever it's processed, we protect it as described here.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app.
